Ever feel like you're being left behind? written 11 years ago

OS X

Apple showed off lots of fancy things for it’s new OS, 10.5 - Leopard. I’m probably just being jelous, or following the buzz, but I just don’t get the same impression from Vista. Instead of feeling warm and fuzzy about all the new features, the time I spent playing with the beta was full of confusion as to what the hell was going on.

The solution to this would be to buy a Mac, but that would just be a waste of time. I’d have to get something like an imac, which would make my existing monitor redundant (or look silly next to it). Then there’s the lack of expandibility of the mac. I couldn’t do half the things I’ve done to my current computer. And If I did, I would have around 20 USB devices dangling from the back of it. And there’s just no replacement for Media Center.

I dunno why I’m really complaining, it’ll be another couple years before I go near Vista, and Macs in general confuse me as well. Perhaps I’m just too simple for all this computer malarky.

Oh look, I can’t sit around nattering on here all day, I’ve got some security updates to install!

Apple have yet to impress me enough to buy one of their computers. Looking at it from the outside, I love the monitor look but I have used one ONCE and I nearly threw it out the library window, the mouse eludes me and everything is so different! I may hate Bill Gates for the amount of Windows Errors I always get, but I’m sticking to good ole Microsoft. The furthest I go with Apple is iPods and iTunes! xxxx
